Raven Reese is Junior at Texas A & M Corpus Christi, studying English with a Creative Writing minor. Gaining her love for poetry at the Young Authors Writing Camp hosted by TAMUCC, her pursuit of creative writing has yet to burn out! She now practices her craft in a college setting and was nominated for the Haas Writing Award 2020 in recognition of more recent essay writing.
Raven’s poetry takes on themes of grief, childhood, and the struggles of being socioeconomically disadvantaged. She tests out many forms of poetic storytelling, borrowing from both her own experiences and those of others in her life. The weird, the weary, and the wild find themselves across her portfolio of work.
